Does the windmill make noise?
No, Lehman's Mole Chasing Humane Deterrent Windmill is completely silent. The windmill sends vibrations into the ground.
Does this mole-chasing windmill work in clay soil?
Yes, this humane windmill is extremely effective in the clay soils that moles love. The windmill is less effective in sandy soils because the vibration doesn't travel as far.
Will the mole windmill deter groundhogs or voles?
While this windmill is effective at chasing moles, it does not work on groundhogs or voles.
One mole chasing windmill - assembly required.
Blades 18" L
(Does not include 1/2" eight-foot steel grounding rod. Ground rods are available at any building supply outlet, electrical supply houses, and many hardware stores.)
TIPS: Drive the rod 4 feet into the ground with the remaining 4 feet above ground. The windmill unit fits loosely on the grounding rod to allow for vibration from the pole into the ground.
