How to Use Your CVG Substrate

Inoculate your grain bag with liquid culture

Mix CVG with fully colonized grain spawn

Using a sterile syringe, inject your favorite mushroom liquid culture into a grain bag. Allow the grain to fully colonize in a clean environment. For best results, we recommend using 1 lb of colonized grain spawn for every 2 lbs of CVG substrate.

Break up your fully colonized grain and mix with your CVG substrate. Spread evenly in your monotub or grow bag. Maintain airflow and humidity, misting daily as needed. With proper conditions, pins will appear?leading to a healthy flush of mushrooms ready for harvest.
