Our natural mosquito trap works by luring female mosquitoes with water and natural elements like leaves and grass. As they descend to the water to lay their eggs, they get stuck on the Sticky-Screen. The screen also catches any deposited eggs and traps any hatched larvae, preventing the life cycle from continuing. - SET UP & USE: Simply use a clean black or white, standard 5-gallon bucket, or any container with an 11.5" inside diameter (NOT INCLUDED). Fill the bucket/container with water approximately halfway, add your attractant of choice (e.g. grass clippings, dried leaves, stale beer), and place the trap on top. The organic matter lure is important as it mimics a natural breeding site. Note: Drill a small (3/32”) hole in the upper side of the container to avoid overflowing from rain. - INTEGRATED MOSQUITO CONTROL: To maximize effectiveness and reduce mosquito populations, a complete approach is needed. Minimize other open water sources such as birdbaths or containers. Place in a shaded area on the ground. Add attractants to the water in your container (or a commercial lure if desired). Passive mosquito traps become more effective over time due to the natural scents taking hold. When the Sticky-Screen becomes full (it can capture hundreds of mosquitoes), remove and replace it. - REUSABLE & MADE IN USA: The STUCK Pro AGO mosquito trap is safe and effective to use both outdoors and inside. As the trap catches mosquitoes, the included Sticky-Screen will start to fill up. Simply replace the Sticky-Screen after it becomes full to keep reusing the AGO mosquito trap for years to come. It is best to check the trap every few weeks or monthly depending on your local mosquito population density. Our base kit comes with this trap and you supply the standard 3 or 5 gallon bucket. Our traps are proudly made in the USA.

After snapping together the 2 debris guard pieces, insert that through the top of the trap with one hand. With the other hand, insert the screen from the bottom and twist to lock the components together.

Next, fill the bucket about halfway with water. Important: Add a lure (e.g. grass clippings, dried leaves, hay) to increase effectiveness. Note: Ensure there's a small hole (3/32”) drilled in the upper side of the bucket.

Lastly, set the trap on top of the bucket. The tabs on the sides allow it to stay securely in place. Now just put the trap in a shaded area around vegetation and let it work. For best results, use 2-3 traps around a backyard.

Will this immediately get rid of a mosquito problem?

No, this is a passive mosquito trap that becomes more effective over time due to the natural scents taking hold. To maximize effectiveness, minimize other open water sources such as birdbaths. It's also critical to use a lure (e.g. grass clippings, dried leaves, hay). Also ensure the trap is placed in a shaded area around vegetation out of direct sunlight and wind. Taking these steps will increase the effectiveness of the STUCK Pro AGO Mosquito Trap and allow it to start capturing hundreds of mosquitoes on its Sticky-Screen. But if you're looking for instant results, we do not recommend our product.

Do I need to use the trap with a bucket/vessel?

Yes, the STUCK Pro AGO mosquito trap works in tandem with a bucket to produce an environment that naturally attracts mosquitoes. While the trap can be used as a standalone float on top of standing water like storm drains, ponds, etc., that is meant more for pest control professionals. They can use it for surveillance and identification of different species, as well as monitoring location and population density.

Do I need to use a lure or attractant?

Yes, we highly recommend you add a handful of organic matter lure (e.g. grass clippings, dried leaves, hay, stale beer) or commercial lure like BG Sweetscent for best results. A lure is important as the mosquitoes in your area are already being attracted to other natural elements. While water alone can be the right lure, it is most effective when it is stagnant, which takes about 1 week. Our trap works, but it requires some patience.

Does this mosquito trap target anything other than mosquitoes?

Yes, in addition to mosquitoes, this trap targets black flies, fruit flies, no-see-ums, and biting midges. Note our trap does not target any beneficial insects.

How often does the Sticky-Screen need to be replaced?

It depends on your local mosquito population density. We recommend checking the trap every few weeks to see how full the Sticky-Screen has become. After the screen is full, simply replace it to keep reusing this AGO mosquito trap for years to come.
