2. Built to last - resists rust and corrosion.

3. Smoothed internal edges protect and prevent injuries to animals.

4. One gravity-action door with sensitive trigger to ensure quick, secure trapping.

5. Each trap features a carrying handle ensure won't come in contact with the animal inside.

6. Ideal for humanely catching squirrels, chipmunks, rats, weasels, voles and similar-size nuisance animals.

(1)Environmental requirements:

Place in a dry and animal infested area to prevent the cage from corroding and rusting in a damp environment, causing the trigger mechanism to be insensitive.

(2)Trap Placement:

Rats travel along pathways like walls and wires, and tend to use the exact same pathways time after time. The best location for your trap is longways against a wall closest to the damage. Place your trap on a level surface to avoid disturbing the trigger mechanism. Suggest disguising and hiding the cage to make it easier to catch the target.

(3)Bait selection:

Peanut butter or dried fruit are great baits for both the Norway rat and the roof rat. Place the bait beyond the trigger plate , towards the back end of the trap. Position it away from the trap walls to prevent a rat from reaching the bait from outside of the trap.

(4)Tips:

1.Rats tend to be neophobic - shy of new objects in their territory.Introduce your trap by "pre-baiting" it: position it properly, keep the door open and place some bait inside. Allow your rats to get used to the trap's position, re-baiting periodically if necessary.

2.Wear gloves whenever handling a rat trap to avoid transferring your scent to the trap.A rat may be even more cautious of a trap if it carries human scent.

Troubleshooting Steps for a Single-Door Squirrel Trap:

1. Check if the trap is properly set: Ensure the trigger mechanism is engaged correctly and the door is fully open without obstruction.

2. Inspect for blockages: Remove any debris, food crumbs, or bedding that might prevent the door from closing smoothly.

3. Test the sensitivity: Gently trigger the mechanism (e.g., with a small object) to see if the door shuts firmly. If it’s too loose or stiff, adjust the trigger mechanism if possible.

4. Verify bait placement: Make sure the bait is positioned where it can be accessed by the mouse without triggering the trap prematurely, and replace stale bait.

5. Check for damage: Look for bent parts, broken springs, or a warped door?replace damaged components if necessary.

6. Reset and monitor: After adjustments, reset the trap and place it in a location with signs of squirrels activity (e.g., droppings), ensuring it’s stable and not easily knocked over.
